A dedicated and experienced Rotarian with perfect attendance since 1984,
Don is a member of the Rotary Club of Staten Island. His classification is
Higher Education. He is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and was the Rotarian
of the Year in 1986. He has served in virtually every position at both the
club and district levels.
He served Rotary International as RI Rotaract Committee member
(2000-2001), RI Rotaract Committee Special Advisor (2002-2003) and Chief
Assistant Sergeant-At-Arms at the San Antonio RI Convention. He attended
seven Rotary International conventions, one Interota Mexico (Rotaract World
Conference), five RI Presidential Conferences, and Rotary Institute for
Zones 31 & 32 (Baltimore) as panelist.
He has been active in numerous educational, professional and community
organizations. He served as President of the Parent Association of
Stuyvesant High School and the President of Korean American Scientists and
Engineers Association in New York.
He has been a faculty member of Notre Dame Division at St. John's
University, Staten Island, since 1992. He began his academic career as a
computer science professor at the College of New Jersey early 1980.
His wife Diane is an anesthesiologist and Paul Harris Fellow. They
married in 1974 and have one son and one daughter. Son Eugene is Past
President of Interact Club, Past Secretary of Rotaract Club, and Associate
at Morgan Stanley. Daughter Sujean is Past President of Interact Club, Past
President of Rotaract Club, and Past President of Student Government of
Harvard University..
