Bob Cucinell

Bob Cucinell, a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, has been a dedicated
Rotarian since 1969 when he joined the Rotary Club of Hartsdale N.Y. He has
served as President and most offices of the club and is currently a
Director. Bob served on many committees of the club during his 39 years of
service. He is the club's Chairman of its Rotary Foundation and Paul Harris
committees and was instrumental in forming Interact Clubs in the area. Bob
was Hartsdale Rotary Club Chairman of the Kentucky Appalachian Project,
student vocational advisor in the Greenburgh School District and Chairman of
the Ralph Lemaire Student Memorial Awards. He received an award for Rotarian
of the Year in 2005.
On the District level, he served as Assistant District Governor in Area 3
for two years; District Coordinator for Water, Health and Hunger 2004-2006;
Co-chairman of the Grants Committee, counselor to an Ambassadorial Scholar;
the U.S. contact on a multi-national literacy program; partnered with other
clubs and districts to establish a Save the Village Water Project in La
Ceiba, Honduras where more than 600 families have been provided filters to
have sustainable access to pure water; the primary contact and organizer of
two international Rotary International Matching Grants for Water Projects
serving 10,000 people in Honduras and Tanzania; and member of the RYLA
committee.
Bob and his wife, Donna, visited Central America in 2006 to inspect an
ongoing water project in Danli, Honduras and established contacts for a new
water project in the area. Bob participated in the Hands to Honduras Program
to provide medical facilities and supplies to the people in Danli, Honduras.
Bob has conducted seminars on Rotary Youth Programs and Water Resources to
raise the level of consciousness to the importance of these programs. He has
attended and is a strong advocate of the RLI (Rotary Leadership Institute)
programs started in the U.S. and now expanded internationally. Bob has
lectured in and outside the District on the importance of pure water and
sanitation to save lives and help people in developing countries. In 2005,
Bob was elected to serve as Governor of Rotary District 7230 for the Rotary
year 2007-2008.
Bob is an attorney admitted to practice law in the State of New York, the
Southern and Eastern Districts of the United States Federal Court and the
Federal Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Westchester County Bar and
New York State Bar Associations and has been practicing law in New York for
almost 40 years. He is now specializing in Real Estate and Estate Law. He
received a BA degree from Lafayette College and an LLB and Doctor of Laws
degree from New York Law School. Bob has received proclamations of
appreciation from the Westchester County Board of Supervisors and the
Yonkers City Council for his community service efforts. During his law
career he has served as a Nominating Committee delegate to a Judicial
Convention in the Ninth Judicial District of the State of New York,
Legislative Director to State Education Advisory Committee for the 90th
Assembly District, president and counsel to civic associations, Chairman of
a Heart Association dinner, counsel to a Parents Association and Director of
a local church board.
He is married 33 years to Donna, who is a Paul Harris Fellow, and has two
children, Glenn and Lynne. Bob and Donna reside in Pound Ridge, New York. |
