Rotary International Scholarships
|
|
There are two types of Rotary International scholarships for graduate
studies abroad. The application for each one has to come through that Rotary
Club, located within the boundaries of District 7230, where the applicant
resides.
Ambassadorial Scholarship
The most commonly known scholarship is the Ambassadorial
Scholarship, which is for one or two years of graduate study abroad, or for
3-6 months cultural exchange and language training abroad. This is competitive within the district
to the extent the district has qualified to make such a grant or grants.
Susanne Wetzel chairs the Ambassadorial Scholarship subcommittee for our
district. She may be contacted via e-mail using
our "Contact Us" page.
World Peace Fellowship
The second scholarship is the World Peace Fellowship, which is
for two years graduate study abroad at one of the several universities
specified by Rotary International. This scholarship is very competitive,
first within District 7230, and secondly by Rotary International in
Evanston, Illinois.
Walter Metzger chairs the World Peace Scholarship subcommittee for our
district. He may be contacted via e-mail using
our "Contact Us" page.
