Its a celebration! We invite you to join us on Wednesday, October 24 from 6-9pm at 38 Parlor on 38 W 39th Street for our World Polio Day fundraiser. It will be a fun evening of food, fellowship, and fantastic raffle prizes at a sultry, shabby-chic loft space in midtown. We’ll be raising funds to support Polio eradication and other causes Metro NYC supports. Why are we celebrating? Because we are just this close to eradicating Polio worldwide. What is Polio? Most know it as polio virus. The virus is spread person to person, typically through contaminated water. It can attack the nervous system, and in some instances, lead to paralysis. Although there is no cure, there is a safe and effective vaccine – one which Rotary and our partners use to immunize over 2.5 billion children worldwide. Visit www.endpolio.org for more information. Join us on October 24 as we come closer to ending Polio now! Ticket includes open bar & appetizers, and can be bought here: https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3605836 Early bird discounted ticket available until Sept 10 and comes with two free raffle tickets. Venue: 38 Parlor, 38 W 39th Street, Suite 3, New York, NY 10018 If you can’t attend, please donate! Attire: Business/Festive/Cocktail… You do you! |

The Rotary Club of Harlem plans to feed the community and we need your help! Help us reach our goal of packaging 20,000 MEALS for local Harlem Food Pantries on Saturday November 3rd from 9am to 3pm. Volunteers are needed. Helping hands of a variety of ages will be welcome! Please sign up today for a volunteering shift at: http://rcohfoodforthesoul2018.eventbrite.com. In 2017, we packaged over 17,000 MEALS! You can view highlights from last year's successful event HERE. This year, let's go bigger! Can we count on your support? Please see below for ways in addition to volunteering to support this program. The Rotary Club of Harlem is partnering with Active Plus, The Outreach Program and local nonprofit organizations to make an impact in our community. The Outreach Program is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation that organizes food packaging events around the country. With more than 330 million meals packaged to date, the organization’s mission is to provide safe water, food, medical care, and education to those in need, at home and abroad. The Rotary Club of Harlem & Active Plus will be providing these packaged bags of food to local food pantries just in time for the holiday season. Each bag is fortified with vitamins and contains 6 servings. These five meal varieties are packaged and then sent to local food pantries in the area to provide meals for hungry families in need. Come join us and be a part of something special. Bring your friends and join us for a day of service as we live out our motto "Service Above Self". To donate directly use: https://www.paypal.me/RotaryClubofHarlem THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS for their unwavering support! |

Mid-Northeast PETS is a premier training event for Rotary President-Elects and Assistant Governors. Mid-northeast PETS provides required training to serve as club president, as well a inspiration and motivation. Mid-Northeast is a SIX DISTRICT, 300+ clubs training event, with an atmosphere of a mini Rotary International convention. Our speakers, District Governors-Elect, trainers, committee and discussion leaders all have one think in mind: equip and excite club presidents-elect and assistant governors for their year of service. Be sure to review the detailed agenda, district profiles, and speaker bios on main menu.
A great experience is being planned for you. Mid-Northeast PETS – a partnership of the seven Rotary districts – will be your first opportunity as a president-elect to network and share fellowship with other PE's outside your district and to learn from some of Rotary's prominent leaders. Here you will gain practical information to prepare you for your year as a Rotary club president.
PETS trainers have developed a curriculum based on years of experience and feedback from the previous attendees. That experience tell us club presidents-elect often feel some trepidation about handling their new role. Surveys tell us that after attending PETS, confidence levels and readiness tops 95% . This year will be no different.
You will be inspired!
Visit the Mid-Northeast PETS website to register, book your hotel room, and prepare for your PETS experience but also use it afterwards as a resource as you travel through your Rotary year. We are here to help you. If you have any questions, ask your district governor-elect. He or she are glad to assist you or refer you to an appropriate PETS committee member.
We are looking forward to seeing you at PETS - March 21 - 23, 2019. |
