With immense gratitude and pride, the Rotary Club of Soaring Heights celebrates the successful completion of its very first service project, an effort that brought relief, healing, and hope to a young child in need.
Abdullah Hoque, a child under the age of five, had been suffering from severe tooth decay that required urgent dental care. Due to his young age, receiving treatment proved challenging, as he was understandably unable to cooperate during procedures. At the same time, the cost of care placed a significant financial strain on his family.

His father, Rezaul Hoque, who has dedicated over 20 years of service working in the IT department at CUNY, found himself facing overwhelming medical expenses that were beyond the family’s means. Despite his years of hard work and commitment, this unexpected situation created a difficult and stressful burden.
Recognizing the family’s need, the Rotary Club of Soaring Heights stepped forward in the true spirit of Service Above Self. The club was honored to provide financial assistance, ensuring that Abdullah could receive the critical dental treatment he needed and move toward a healthier, pain-free future.
This meaningful act of service was made possible through the generosity and compassion of Bina Ahmad, Ishrat Ara, Farhat Ara and Mohammed Rahim. Their support exemplifies the values of Rotary and the power of coming together to make a difference in the life of a child.
As the Rotary Club of Soaring Heights embarks on its journey, this first project stands as a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through service, empathy and community. It is a promising beginning, one that reflects Rotary’s enduring mission to serve humanity and create lasting impact, one meaningful step at a time.
