Our District celebrated August as Rotary Membership and New Club Development Month by installing the President and the 12 young, energetic, passionate Charter members of the community-based Aspire. NY Rotaract Club, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Hope NY. This is the first Club in the District this year and the third new Rotaract Club in two years, bringing the number of Rotaractors in the District to 69 in 5 Rotaract Clubs.
The new members each “aspire” to new heights as they begin their Rotaract journey. The officers were installed by DG Syed Alirahi at an outdoor joint gathering of their sponsor Club – The Rotary Club of Hope New York and the new Club. President Minhaz Ahmed, a former Rotaractor himself. brought together these 11 other Rotaractors. DG Syed presented the Club Charter Certificate to the members. He congratulated them on the new Club and expressed his confidence that they will put their time and energy into serving the community. President Minhaz Ahmed assured the DG that his members will become an asset for the District and will "aspire" to be a model for other Rotaract Clubs in the District.
