Rotarians of District 7230,
The 2025-2026 District 7230 Rotary International year will be remembered as a year of landmark change. This year has been a testament to a committed, dedicated group of Rotarians and what can be accomplished when compassion fearlessly meets action.
We have faced uncertainty, stretched resources, and complex obstacles-and together we are prevailing with creativity, courage, and a rock-solid belief in Service Above Self. Today we celebrate not just the projects completed, but the spirit that made them possible: members who showed up, worked hard, and stayed late; leaders who listened; and volunteers who turned intention into impact.
We have met challenges head-on and have made significant changes to create numerous successes. We are reaching for the future, beginning from the basis of a strong past and a stronger present.
When lnteractors, Rotaractors, and younger Rotarians sought meaningful involvement, we welcomed them with mentorship, stewardship. fresh ideas, and opportunities to lead and grow our district into the future. Each challenge has become an education where we learned to adapt, collaborate, and strengthen our resolve.
This year has been remarkable! Clubs have launched innovative service models that blended in-person outreach with virtual engagement. New partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, and municipal leaders have become force multipliers of our impact and have created sustainable pipelines for future projects. We have embraced the concept of change, and this embrace has been to our benefit.
Let us celebrate our quiet victories as much as the headline successes. Our neighbors who found food and comfort because a Rotarian knocked on their door; the student who discovered a future in STEM because of a Rotary scholarship; the small nonprofit that could continue its work because of a timely grant and volunteer support-these are the moments that define us.
As we reflect, fellow Rotarians, let us take pride in how we have balanced ambition with humility. We have experimented, learned from setbacks, and adjusted our courses without losing sight of our values. Our ability to keep serving even when the path was difficult is the legacy of 2026. It will be our resilience that will guide District 7230 into the years ahead, forging smarter partnerships, bolder outreach, and deeper community trust.
Progressing forward, we shall carry this momentum with intention. Let us continue to invest in leadership development, nurture the next generation of Rotarians, and innovate how service is delivered. We must also protect the relationships we have built, for they are the framework of the future. Remember to celebrate one another, as recognition fuels morale and gratitude strengthens the bonds that make collective action possible.

We have great hope for the year 2026-2027 and beyond. Our future is brilliantly bright, and we have every confidence that our district leadership will continue to follow this course. Together there is much to be accomplished. Together there is nothing we cannot accomplish. We are Rotarians: audacious enough to endeavor the impossible: determined enough to make it happen.
In fellowship and gratitude,
Garrett Capobianco
District Governor 2025-2026
